Criminal Records is now the exclusive retailer for Six Shooter Records swag! Six Shooter Records, who have brought us such artists as Justin Rutledge, Elliott Brood, NQ Arbuckle, and Melissa McClelland, recently closed their retail location on Queen St East as a result of a decision to move their offices to Queen St West, just around the corner from our store! Their new proximity, and their fantastic roster of artists has made our teaming up a match made in heaven! We hope Six Shooter enjoy their fab new office, and we hope to outfit Toronto with righteous swag! After all, life is too short to listen to shitty music!

We Criminals are so very happy to announce not one, not two, but three great in stores: June 16th, at 7:00 Apostle of Hustle will play a free set, and on June 19th, at 6:00 Vancouver's Said the Whale will be stopping by followed by Wisconconson's The Daredevil Christopher Wright, for another free show at 7:00! The level of talent that consistently graces our stage blows our collective minds. We are so very fortunate to be apart of Toronto's incredible music scene! On that note, you would be crazy if you missed Ohbijou-June 17th, at 7:00 performing a free show at Soundscapes. Stay tuned, for there will be more announcements on the way!

April 18th is Record Store day! Please join us for a day chock full of awesome. There will be sales, prizes, and lots of music to be had. We are fortunate to have our good friends Rock Plaza Central back for an encore show, as well as Great Bloomers who have found a home on Maple Records. The prize table will be packed and we urge you to come early as the best prizes are sure to go fast.

CRIMINAL RECORDS would like to thank everyone who supported us in the CBC RADIO 3 Search for the"Best Indie Store In Canada". We finished in the top 10 and from what we understand only a few votes away from the final 5. It was a crazy ride. To be voted the BEST IN TORONTO was more than we could have ever hoped for. Thanks to the CBC Radio 3 crew and Grant Lawrence for making it all possible.

If you are just starting to vote, you have to sign up, you will find the link at the bottom left hand corner of the CBC Radio3 site. After you register, you may then vote. This round goes to Monday, when they will anounce the top5. You can vote once every 24 hours.
